I’m a little biased on this wine. I have met the winemaker, Anthony Yount (who has spent a significant time in St Louis), and have been involved in selling his wine for years. That being said, check out their entire lineup- especially their Theresa Blend, a white-Chateauneuf wanna be that does Paso Robles right.
The Syrah noted here is a fairly big, bruiser of a wine. It shows significant blue and black fruit notes, along with a heavy dose of pepper, vanilla, and a decent warmth to the finish. This is not a wine to drink after doing hard labor.
I certainly give this wine 4 out of 5 points, and relish seeing how it ages.
